Fishnet Frenzy

Hi gals,

I hope everyone had a fab Christmas and is looking forward to the New Year as much as I am.
I thought I would start off the New Year with a fashion post on my latest obsession- fishnets!! They give such an edgy feel to any look. I had been looking for the bigger fishnets for weeks and couldn't find them anywhere. I got the smaller style fishnets just before Christmas and wore them with my Xmas Eve outfit. My friend Ingrid knew I was on the hunt for them and bought me the bigger style net's and gave them as part of my Christmas pressie, so I styled my New Years day outfit with them.

I love the tights under ripped jeans.
For my New Years day outfit I teamed the fishnets and jeans with a cool shirt I got in Zara. I loved the glitter detail on the shirt and decided to wear it loose with a red bralet under for a pop of colour. Sock boots are my go to shoe lately especially when I know its going to be a long day because the block heel makes them so comfortable.

To complete my rock chick look I done a mini french fohawk along the centre of my hair and left the rest down in curls. I have a youtube video on a similar style on my youtube channel ( just search my name)

I wore a similar style outfit for Xmas Eve. I had the smaller hole style fishnets so they weren't as noticeable under the jeans. I bought a cami top and velvet choker and wore the same jeans and sock boots with this look.

Jeans - Pull and Bear
Fishnets - Next & Primark
Sock Boots- Boohoo
Cami top - Primark
Choker - Primark
Shirt - Zara

Hope you all like this look.

Velvet Crushing!!

Hi Everyone,

I am obsessing over velvet this season. I shot these three looks for a Christmas feature a few weeks ago and only realised after that every piece I wore was velvet!! This velvet number was only €12 in Penneys.  I styled the dress with these fab over the knee boots. It looks like the 60's are back!!

Every girl needs a LBD in her wardrobe for the festive season.
The ruffle detail adds a little something to a plain black dress. I wore it off the shoulders for an extra girly feel. This velvet LBD is from River Island.

And finally if your not a Xmas dress kinda gal this one is for you. I teamed the cute velvet bomber with a lace bralet and high waisted velvet trousers. If you had of described this outfit to me I probably would have said sounds too much but I think the double velvet and lace really compliment each other. The high waisted trousers are really flattering too! This full look is from River Island and the jewellery is from CHUPI.

Let the Christmas party season commence!!

Winter Whites

Hi Everyone,

How was your black Friday?!
I hit the shops yesterday and bagged myself a couple of bargains just in time for going away to Prague on Monday. I will be talking through what I bought on my snapchat later ( dominique89) if you would like to see. I hear its much colder than here so I picked up some lovely winter woolies.

For yesterdays look I wore my new coat and I just love it! I ordered this military longline coat from missguided last week when they had the 50% off day. I just can't help myself when I get those emails that tell me they are having a sale #issues.

I teamed the coat with my parachute sleeve blouse and black denims and sock boots.
I also love this handbag I picked it up in Penney's and have worn it everyday since.

I curled my hair with my instyler and have a video on my youtube  (Dominique Nugent) showing how I create these ones.

Hope you all have a nice weekend. I will attach the link for the coat below and it's also available in different colours.

My hair Transformation- blonde to Rose gold

Hi everyone,

What's better than freshly coloured hair for the weekend? :)
I thought I would do a post on my hair transformation because I got so many questions about it yesterday.  I had been thinking of changing my hair up since the start of Summer. I usually try out one of the pastel colours in my hair during Summertime but I never got around to doing it so I went with a warm rose gold colour for Winter instead. I am so happy with my new look.

So I went to Davey Davey on Drury Street. Stephen was my colourist and he was amazing. I just showed him a picture of what I wanted and off he went mixing up the colours and it turned out exactly the way I wanted it. They even coloured my clip in extensions for me. Delira!!

I got a boho blowdry from Claudia and it has lasted so well I'd say I will get a few days out of it.

All the staff were so lovely from Stephens assistant Lily to the friendly receptionist Danielle. I will definitely be back :)

Winter rock chic

Hi everyone,

Happy Wednesday!! I have had such a hectic week. If you were watching my snaps you might have seen that I moved out of my apartment on Sunday. It was this time last year that myself and Damien moved into our new apartment along with Grace & Chris. We were all so excited to have our own place, we thought we could rent and save for a deposit at the same time. It proved too hard to do so I have bit the bullet and moved home. We were so sad to close the door on apartment 56. It was totes emosh but I know it was the right time for us to knuckle down and start saving for a house and we just couldn't do it there.

Anyway I put this outfit together on Monday to shoot a Wintery rock chic look. I love a good leather jacket that I can wear casual or dressy and this one from Zara definitely fits the bill.
Black boots are another staple in my wardrobe for the Autumn Winter season. You have no idea how hard it is to find a pair of over the knee boots that actually go over your knee when you are tall. More often than not when ordering online I have to get the measuring tape out and measure the length so I know whether the boots will be long enough to actually go over my knees. The struggle is real!!

Sticking to the rock chic look I teamed my jacket and over the knee boots with this cool tee from river island.

For my hair, I went for a funky style, my french fohawk. I have a how to tutorial of this hairstyle up on my youtube channel. It is actually quite quick to do and keeps your hair off your face.

Hope you all liked this look.

Trnd Beauty Halloween Masterclass

Hi Everyone,
Happy hump day!

Bomber jackets are a favourite of mine and I love this one from Jordan Woods new collection for Boohoo. Again with the embroidery, I know, but I love that it turns a plain jacket into a statement piece. This bomber is also reversible so its basically two new bombers for my wardrobe.
I wore this outfit for a Trnd Beauty halloween masterclass with Aideen Kate at the weekend. It was taking place on a Sunday afternoon so I wanted something dressy casual. The shimmer style high waist jeans were a perfect match for my bomber and ankle boots.

For my hair I kept the fro in from the night before. It holds for days which was ideal for me. Who wants the stress of getting up early after a night out to spend ages on a hairstyle? Not me!!

I know I mentioned in my last post I would do the afro tutorial but I haven't got the chance to do it yet. We are moving house next week so I have so much to do but I will let you know on insta and snapchat when I get it up.

Hope you liked this look

Sheer Winter fun

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are having a nice Monday.
It was my friend Ingrid's 30th Birthday bash at the weekend so I thought I would do a quick post on what I wore.
Sticking to my embroidery obsession I picked up this sheer floral dress in Zara. I knew I had something to wear underneath at home so I had a rummage through my wardrobe and found a black bodysuit. The dress has quite high slits up the side and it was only when I sat down that I noticed that it was way too revealing to wear with just a bodysuit. I swopped the bodysuit for a bodycon black dress and teamed it with my trusty ankle boots. I have these boots about a month an have literally worn them with every outfit. I love them!!

When I bought this dress I thought an afro would look nice with it so I used my Lee Stafford chopstick wand to curl my hair. When I have my hair all thonged I brush the curls out and use a backcombing brush to get even more volume. When it comes to fro's I don't think your hair can be too big :)
I had loads of questions on how to achieve the look so I think this will be my next youtube tutorial.

Anyway I hope you all had a lovely weekend I will leave outfit details below.

Boots- Berska

Embroidery love

Hi Everyone,

I hope everybody is having a lovely Tuesday. I shot with the brilliant Brid O Donovan for the first time yesterday. I picked up this outfit last week in New look and River island.
Like Spring/Summer the embroidery trend is still huge coming into the A/W season. This is one of my favourite trends so I'm delighted it has carried on into this season.
I teamed a black denim skirt with a baggy grey embroidered jumper. I love the belt and the best part was it came with the skirt!!
The detail on the Denim fur lined jacket turns it from an ordinary denim jacket into a statement piece that will jazz up any outfit.
Black boots are my weakness especially these fab buckled ones from River Island.
For my hair I went with a messy dutch fishtail braid. I will have a tutorial on this hairstyle up on my youtube channel soon.

Hope you all liked this look :)
